NESTEA Peach Iced Tea

I’ve only ever known Lipton Iced Tea (more specifically, the Peach one!) and been a loyal customer…. But now…
I LOVE this! I’ll get to the point-
1) Easy peasy; basically 1 sachet makes 500ml, so 2 sachet’s make 1 litre which is perfect for keeping in a jug in the fridge.
2) The powder comes out of the sachet without getting stuck (think ‘chicken flavouring’ for noodles… think about the mess, and the “it’s all over my haaaands”…)- sweet!
3) OH MY GOODNESS. It tastes SO good! Just like the other branded Peach Iced Tea but even better… It’s a little sweeter but leaves a nice taste in your mouth.
I will definitely be buying this again, it currently sells (at Countdown) for $6.99, 10 sachets per box. Which makes 5L so it’s priced well.
Give this a 4.5/5 just because it’s a wee bit sweet but so amazingly yummy.

Evolu "Adolescent" EDT

I was lucky enough to win a bottle of this from Lisa O'Neill (Stylist)'s Facebook page.

After reading another review online, I was super excited to receive this.

It is an EDT (as opposed to EDP) so not as strong but definitely 'lingers' and is just as beautiful.

The Evolu website says this, about the scent:

"This fresh, oriental fragrance displays multiple aspects, including sharp peppery notes and spices, mixed with sensual jasmine and rose flowers. It also has undercurrents of amber, vanilla and tonka bean..."

I wasn't quite sure about it to begin with; but after wearing it a few times, I've now decided I really, really love it. It's one of those scents that's 'hard to explain' to someone so I'm glad Evolu knew what was going on there ;)

The bottle is stunning and reminds me a wee bit of Britney Spears "Believe" which I also have and adore. The scent also has a couple of similarities but nothing to write home about.

I keep getting big 'hits' of it and it's so refreshing yet warm; something magical and exciting about it. I haven't had any compliments on it yet- so I'm eagerly awaiting until someone is close enough to let me know how good I smell- haha, it WILL happen!

All in all, wicked scent. I'm 21 and a mother, and it suits me just fine, although would be great for  teens also as it's very "lively" (like I was, once!) :)

Mountain Buggy Swift (Night in The Menagerie)

What’s it all about?
This is the Night in the Menagerie Limited Edition Swift Mountain Buggy. I won it (I was so shocked and still am!) from Kiwi Families/Mountain Buggy not long ago and I love it!
It is the smallest and 'swiftiest' of their buggies; weighing in at 9.5kg and the frame being only 59cm wide, but also having a sturdy parcel tray that can hold 5kg.
It's perfect for newborn-6years (and holds up to 35kg), reclines flat and is easy to do so. The tyres are 10 inches and inflatable so really lovely to push.

The set-up:
I put this together without really looking at the manual which was great as I'm sure we all know what doesn't mix with manuals, and that is baby brain!
I have gone from a Phil & Teds "Smart" buggy, to this, which is a huge leap. I was only just getting used to that one and then this one came along in all it's 3 wheeled glory,
taking up half the lounge with packaging and plastic covers etc. I was determined to put it together so flicked back and forth between pram/manual for about 20 minutes and then
gave up and watched a youtube video on it. I had a lot of trouble with the 'latches' at the side which you pull back to fold it down, one was stuck constantly and I'd fix it then the
other would be stuck. I still sometimes get in to a battle with it in the supermarket carparks and end up losing my cool but nevermind, other parents understand!
The main issue I had was putting the tyres on and learning to fold it up/down but once I got there, we were good to go. Definitely recommend having a Mountain Buggy Swift youtube video on standby!

I’m liking:
- The beautiful pattern on the inside. It makes the whole pram a bit more unique and gives it extra flair.
- How smooth it is to push and how much control I have over it.
- The peek a boo flap is great cause I just love seeing what my missy is seeing. It's nifty and saves me having to stop, traipse around the front of the pram and check on her, or do a little dance trying
to keep up with whoever is pushing her.
- The handle!!! I love how it can go up higher for me and lower for her dad. I'm only short; 5ft2, so it's a lifesaver.
- The carrycot we also won; which Addi is too big for now (newborn-6months), is so beautiful. I was lucky to be blessed with my daughter so am not holding my breath for another one any time soon
but this baby will be staying boxed up and perfectly preserved until I need it.

Things that made me go hmmmm:
-When I won it, I was so excited but so nervous that it wasn't going to fit in my car.
I have a Vitz 2001 and the boot is pretty small (not any bigger than the Starlet's) so I was mentally 'preparing myself for the worst'- the buggy not fitting.
It fits perfectly on its side, width ways (the space between back of seat and boot door), but length ways between each side of boot is SO TIGHT that the metal at the foot of the
buggy has scraped the living daylights out of the insides of the boot. To get it in, takes about 4/5 shuffles and grunts and holding your tongue out the side of your mouth but
knowing 'IT CAN BE DONE, IT'S BEEN DONE BEFORE!' helps.
-The double brake really gets to me. I'm short and weak (short and sweet too but not all the time) so I find putting it down is *okay* but pushing it back up really is quite hard on me- impossible if I'm wearing jandals!- and always requires an unwomanly kick.
-Also one of the wheels is making a funny noise but everyone else insists it's 'just me' - it's not.

Extra for experts:
I love this pram so much and so does my missy. It's perfect for navigating our way through Farmers' awkward aisles, and ramming peoples ankles... Just kidding! I adore how easy it is to recline the seat, and
love the extra 'sun mesh' bit on the hood. Winning this now means I can't put off walking anymore. The pathways and parks, after our February quake, became so lumpy and bumpy (like a cheap mattress) that it was really uncomfortable for
not only me pushing our last pram, but also Addi, who no longer had to be burped by me after a bottle while out and about. Now that we have a Mountain Buggy, we can go for walkies!

The conclusion:
Overall, I love this buggy and out of "No" or "Go", this is a big mountain sized Go! I would recommend this to someone who has a station wagon or a bigger sized boot than mine, or stronger arms.
It is perfect for mums AND dads, supermarkets, Christchurch pathways, grass, sand etc. So whether you live in a mall or a shed, it's pretty much right for you.
I love 90% of the Swift and when you love something that much, you just accept the 10% and get on with it. Life is a bit like that!

Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner

This arrived about 20 minutes before my alarm went off this morning (grr) but I was so excited to try it! I’ve been wearing it all morning, and the photo has just been taken (2 hours of wear). It has lasted really well.
The packaging is lovely, it’s a perfect size for holding and trying to do ‘finicky’ tricks on your eyelids and the brush is amazing. It’s not a ‘felt tip’ but more of a paintbrush with tinybristles; which makes it glide on smoothly.
The formula is wicked; it’s thin enough to “glide” but thick enough to not need one-million applications.
I’ve only had one other liquid liner and it was by L’Oreal- in comparison to this it is awful. THIS liner stays on and doesn’t flake off. – Like I said, it has restored my faith in liquid liner!
Liquid liner shouldn’t be worn in your waterline for obvious reasons (mostly because liquid + liquid becomes double liquid and it will run everywhere), so this is just for your upper lid- Perfect for creating the illusion of having thicker lashes than usual (see attached pic :) ).
I have to admit I am in love. I have fallen head over heels for this liner and I do indeed give it a 5/5, and will most definitely be buying it when it runs out.
Should be available from all Maybelline stockists soon- (even Countdown!).

Dove Nutritive Therapy Nourishing Oil Care Nutri-Oil Serum

Hair oil is not a ‘new trend’ for me. I’ve been using it for years- my hair has been to hell and back over the 10 years I have been dying it for. It has been blonde (more yellow..), pink, black, blue black, brown, ginger (many times, and not wanting it to be), red, light brown, “caramel” aka ginger… and most of all DRY and unhealthy.
I am used to using L’Oreal Elvive serum so was excited to try something else. I’ve used the Moroccan Oil and most recently tried the ArganOil from Farmers (not cheap but cheaper than Moroccan Oil). Like I say- it is NOT a new thing for me!
In a hair oil, I look for:
Light and non-greasy
Shiny, sparkly, silky results
Smells good
Doesn’t linger on your hands/cause driving accidents because your hands slip off the wheel..
This product ticks the boxes for good results, light and non-greasy… But to be fair; it smells like soap and I couldn’t get the smell off my hands (I put this on damp/dry hair before running out the door and quickly wiped my hands but didn’t wash them). I kept smelling it in my hair and it made me feel a bit woozy after a while, like I was in someone’s grandparents bathroom. Also as I put it on my hands before I went for a drive- I will say that my hands struggled to grip my steering wheel… And when I got back into the car later and used the wheel, my hands smelt like it again.
I use shampoo/conditioner that smells like fruit/doesn’t smell like Dove’s products, so I’d prefer to have a non-soapy/fragrance free hair oil. If you use other Dove hair products then I’m sure it’s a perfect match for you- just not for me.
Like I said- it ticks the boxes for everything bar the lingering smell. I don’t want my hair clashing with my perfume and it’s all just a bit too much.
It’s a great price (RRP $8.17) and really effective, so I’m not completely dissatisfied and am very grateful I got to try it.
I’d say on the scale of ‘will I be using it again?’, from 1(being NO, GO AWAY) to 10(LIVE WITH ME FOREVER, DON’T LEAVE, LET’S GET MARRIED)… It’d be about a 4 (good friends but nothing more, ever).
But, to shake things up a bit, on a scale of 1-5- comparing it to other oils I have used- I’ll give this little lovely a 3.
It’s a pity you can’t try before you buy but if you have a wee sneaky sniff of their shampoo from the same range- then it might give you an indicator of smell. Maybe I’m just picky ;) (my friends will agree).

Burt's Bees 'Cranberry & Pomegranate Sugar Scrub'

I was so excited to review this!

I have used other scrubs in the past; and always been a bit 'iffy' about them because of the sticky oily layer left on my skin. Although they worked well and made me feel amazing- the stickyness essentially meant I was covered in fluff from my towel afterwards- not ideal!

The smell of it is amazing; it's so fresh and clean, yet sweet and tangy. There are real bits of fruit in it which makes me feel super duper fresh and I feel 'good' using something that's not full of, well, man-made crap, really.

It felt just as great as other sugar scrubs I have used in the past- and here's the WICKED bit- IT DIDN'T LEAVE A HORRIBLE LAYER! I wasn't a fluffy-oily-mess once I'd dried myself off. Thank heavens.

I'm so excited to use it again. Oh and also, because it doesn't leave the horrid layer on me; it also doesn't leave it on the bottom of the shower... Well not as bad as others have, anyway.

Brilliant product and will definitely be buying once I've used this up!

10/10 (and I'm not just saying that!)

Thanks Burt's Bees New Zealand really loved reviewing this beautiful scrub for you xx
